Enlightening Elliott

Imagine your daughter of only 15 months was diagnosed with a devastating condition known as Tay-Sachs disease. This rare disease hinders children from reaching developmental milestones starting at
six-months-of-age. Elliott's family provides her with the unconditional love and the support she needs. The family gives as much as they can; apart from the difficulties she has been given. Becky, Elliott's mother, stays by her side caring for her 24-hours a day. Becky is continuously seeking new research, care-taking practices, as well as support from other families. The National Tay-Sachs Convention in Florida provided Elliott and her family with the information and support they needed. The Granted Wish Foundation enabled Elliott and her family to take that trip to Florida. The trip made it possible for them to gain more knowledge about her condition, giving Elliott the most comfortable and happy life possible.

Dear The Granted Wish Foundation,

"Without The Granted Wish Foundation we would not have been able to make it to the National Tay-Sachs Family Conference, which was being held in Florida. Our daughter suffers from a very rare, genetic, terminal condition. There are not enough words to express my gratitude for being able to be with others like us. To have this support, empowerment, and sense of belonging. While at the conference we learned of the latest care techniques, research, and shared each other's grief as we became bonded to each and every family there."
