A Soldier's Christmas

Imagine spending your holidays in Iraq, away from your loved ones, missing out on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. Missing out on those special heart-felt moments with family and friends is what Joseph has endured. Loving wife, Donna, hoped that Joseph would be able to come home before he was deployed to Afghanistan. Joseph hadn't seen his mother in over a year and wished to see her before he departed. The Granted Wish Foundation was so happy to be able to provide Joseph the opportunity to return home and spend those precious moments with his family and friends before departing to Afghanistan.

Dear The Granted Wish Foundation,

"The Granted Wish Foundation benefited me by helping me get home when I and my wife didn't have a way to. I got to see my family and friends before I deployed to Afghanistan. I got to get to know my In-Laws a little bit more, spend time with my family, and make memories with my wife. I also got the opportunity to keep the tradition of playing Santa Claus for my wife's family while they opened presents. If it wasn't for The Granted Wish Foundation we wouldn't have went home. So from the bottom of my heart I thank you all who granted this wish."
